Poppy : Extensive necrosis of the skin

Before

During

After

Poppy came to Anita from an animal shelter that had taken her in because her owner couldn’t cope. Despite their vets’ best efforts, her lesions were getting rapidly worse and spreading, so they referred her to Anita. Anita removed the necrotic tissue and took Poppy off all the medication she had been on; and just treated her vasculitis and wound management. The animal shelter was worried that her likely need for on-going treatment would make it difficult to rehome Poppy, so Anita adopted her and, over 6 weeks, nursed her back to health. Poppy is now a normal happy cat and an integral part of Anita’s household.

Husband’s words:

I returned from a 2-week absence, looking after my father, to find that a very small cat, with the most horrendous wounds imaginable, had entirely taken over our sitting room.
After 30 years of marriage, I was accustomed to the sight of sick and wounded animals, but this was one of the worst I had ever seen and I was dubious that Anita could save her, but she worked a miracle; and 6 weeks later we had a lively, happy and very mischievous addition to our family.
